Juilliard Opera presents the New York staged premiere of Luigi Rossi’s L’Orfeo with period-instrument ensemble Juilliard415, conducted by Avi Stein and directed by Mary Birnbaum. The three-act tragicomedy features a libretto by Francesco Buti and was created at the Palais-Royal in Paris on March 2, 1647.
